Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will focus on a wide range of design tasks on the electrical systems and subsystems on all machines across the entire Material Processing platform offering.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate design requirements for new and existing systems Create detailed Hardware Design Specifications for all new systems Ensure the accurate development and revision of Electrical BOMS and schematic revisions Develop a modular approach to design for all control systems using standard components Implementation of the common Terex ECAD package, E3, including the creation of component databases and standard design practices Integrate electrical harness designs into new and existing 3D machine models Ensure all designs are in strict accordance with current electrical standards such as ISO13849 and IEE regulations an guidelines Develop and perform accurate design FMEA processes on new and existing systems Collaborate with the other electrical team members in all areas of electrical design including software, system integration, testing and validation as required Assist in the training, mentoring and development of engineering talent Assist the aftersales teams with technical troubleshooting Some travel to the Materials Processing sites will be required
Experience & Qualifications: Degree educated or equivalent in Electrical Engineering You should have a considerable track record (+5 years) in the design and development of Electrical systems to support Mobile & Static Crushing, Screening & Wash, Mineral Processing equipment. You should have in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following EE competencies - Control System Design and System Integration, Electrical System Architecture and design, Power Electrical Systems & Software development Tools and Processes. You should have working knowledge of low voltage DC and three-phase AC (Motor Control) systems Creativity and innovative thinking Familiarity with programming language such as CoDeSys Proficient in E3 or equivalent, CAD and CAE You should be confident working in a highly qualified multi- disciplined team Good English & Chinese communication skill, both written and spoken; Good Presentation and interpersonal skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of electrical component supply base for Material Processing Equipment is essential in this role. You will be fully conversant on modern design practices and "Lean" manufacturing techniques. Preferred base location is at a Material Processing location Good verbal and written capability in English
